This one here almost plays all sort of formats. This has been not so late updated at June, 26th of this year.This saves the time and disk space for transcoding or format converting. You can just put your video on sdcard and or click on the URL in browser to watch it. The pro version have more options but you have to pay for it.

3.QQ Player:
This supports AVI, FLV, MP4,3GP, MKV, MOV. In addition to it this also supports both embedded and SRI plug-in subtitles.It not the best but it still is good. It actually reduces the video resolution to play smoother, Ingenious thou'.

They call themselves as the best video player on Android. Nothing to say much. It's so close/ similar to the QQPlayer's Features. The interface is not so complex, but clean and faster. It's easy to use and no problems are yet detected.

This has probably got all futures within it, the only thing which we might be missing is to play the video frame-by-frame and a built-in subtitle finder won't hurt. The recent update cleared the long lasting problem of audio delay over flv formats.
